COVER REVEAL - Melancholy of Souls by Anne Michaud

SQUEEE! I did the copy edits on this book and now I get to help unveil its cover. The book is a blend of horror and urban fantasy and is the first in a forthcoming series. Right now, it's part of the Girls & Ghosts collection but next year, it will be the first book in a new series. The author, Anne Michaud, has been on the blog before as I've reviewed a couple of her books. So far, this one is my favorite by a mile.

EXCLUSIVE COVER REVEAL! Mystery Night by Krista D. Ball

Ball's Spirit Caller series is one of my favorites; fresh urban fantasy set in Newfoundland Canada with Ball's trademark dry wit, it makes me think, laugh, and cry. Book number 4, Mystery Night, is scheduled to release on December 15th. Buy links will be available December 1st so keep your eyes open.

In the fourth installment of the Spirit Caller series, Rachel finds herself investigating a ghost's murder and his accusations cause her to dig into the pasts of the dead and the living to uncover the truth. Only, all roads lead back to the same horrible place: her elderly neighbour's doorstep.

Today, My World...in Words and Pages and I have an exclusive cover reveal for of Mystery Night. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Cover for Thor's Serpents by K.L. Armstrong & M.A. Marr

WOOT! Quill & Quire, a Canadian site, has revealed the cover for the final book in the Blackwell Pages trilogy. Aimed at tweens, the series takes Norse mythology and brings it to the modern world. A group of young teens tries to prevent the end of the world.

I enjoyed the first two books, and can hardly wait for book three, "Thor's Serpents". It's not out until May of 2015, seven months away. :( But, we can enjoy the cover in the meantime ~

COVER REVEAL: Hard To Hold On To by Laura Kaye

I am delighted to have the cover for Laura Kaye's next Hard Ink title, "Hard To Hold On To",  which releases on August 19, 2014!

A Note from Laura:
Hey guys! I am so excited about Easy’s book that I can hardly wait for August to get here! Easy’s character was a total surprise to me. When I initially plotted out the series, there were four surviving members of the Army Special Forces team and therefore I planned for and sold four book in the series. But then, when I sat down to write Hard As It Gets, all of a sudden the story demanded there were actually five guys, and Edward “Easy” Cantrell was born. And I’m so glad! Because Easy’s character is a totally tortured hero, which I adore writing! So I’m super happy that we added his story and this novella into the series, and I can’t wait for you to learn about Easy in Hard to Hold On To! Is it August yet??? xo, Laura

Cover Reveal: THE DEEP END OF THE SEA by Heather Lyons

Do you like mythology? romance? stories of redemption? Then you may need to check out "The Deep End of the Sea" by Heather Lyons. It releases February 13, 2014 and I have the cover to share with you today.

What if all the legends you’ve learned were wrong?

Brutally attacked by one god and unfairly cursed by another she faithfully served, Medusa has spent the last two thousand years living out her punishment on an enchanted isle in the Aegean Sea. A far cry from the monster legends depict, she’s spent her time educating herself, gardening, and desperately trying to frighten away adventure seekers who occasionally end up, much to her dismay, as statues when they manage to catch her off guard.  As time marches on without her, Medusa wishes for nothing more than to be given a second chance at a life stolen away at far too young an age.

But then comes a day when Hermes, one of the few friends she still has and the only deity she trusts, petitions the rest of the gods and goddesses to reverse the curse. Thus begins a journey toward healing and redemption, of reclaiming a life after tragedy, and of just how powerful friendship and love can be—because sometimes, you have to sink in the deep end of the sea before you can rise back up again.

Cover Reveal - All For You by Jessica Scott

So, as you all know, Jessica Scott is one of my favorite authors. She writes amazing, emotional but non-manipulative romances. "All For You" is book four in her Coming Home series and I expect that like the others, it will have me in tears *places order for a case of Kleenex*. It features Sergeant First Class Reza Iaconelli and Army Captain Emily Lindberg. There isn't a blurb yet but Jessica sent along the prologue to whet your appetite. The expected release date is February 4th, 2014.

Camp Taji, Iraq
2007

Sergeant First Class Reza Iaconelli had seen better days. He closed his eyes, wishing he was anywhere but curled up on the latrine floor in the middle of some dirty, shitty desert. The cold linoleum caressed his cheek, soothing the sensation of a billion spiders creeping over his skin. He had to get up, to get back to his platoon before someone came looking for him. Running patrols through the middle of Sadr City was so much better than being balled up on the bathroom floor, puking his guts out.

Cover Reveal of Back To You by Jessica Scott

Yep, another cover reveal; two in one day. Jessica Scott is one of my favorite romance authors; she writes powerful, compelling, realistic stories. She rips my guts out, makes me laugh, and gives me hope. "Back To You" is the third full length novel in the Coming Home series, about US Army soldiers and the men and women who love them.

This story focuses on Trent and his wife Laura, whom we've met before. I'm really hoping for a happy ending but one thing I know is that Jessica will put me, and all the readers, through the wringer and I should stock up on tissues.

Blurb from the author ~

He’s in for the fight of his life . . .
Army captain Trent Davila loved his wife, Laura, and their two beautiful children. But when he almost lost his life in combat, something inside him died. He couldn’t explain the emptiness he felt or bridge the growing distance between him and his family—so he deployed again. And again. And again…until his marriage reaches its breaking point. Now, with everything on the line, Trent has one last chance to prove to his wife that he can be the man she needs …if she’ll have him

to win back his only love.
Laura is blindsided when Trent returns home. Time and again, he chose his men over his family, and she’s just beginning to put the pieces of her shattered heart back together.  But when Trent faces a court martial on false charges, only Laura can save him. What begins as an act of kindness to protect his career inflames a desire she thought long buried—and a love that won’t be denied.  But can she trust that this time he’s back to stay?

Cover Reveal for Black Widow by Marlene Sanchez

This is the first of two cover reveals today. I haven't read Sanchez before but the book's blurb was interesting so I thought I'd share.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Marlene Sanchez was born in New York and raised in Miami. Her family and friends are an important part of her life, a constant inspiration, and keep her motivated to succeed in pursuing her dream. She has had a passion for writing since her ninth grade English teacher put it all into perspective for her. “Write how you speak and write what you know.” She credits her teacher every chance she gets for giving her a love of writing!

Marlene writes mystery/suspense with a sprinkle of romance. Her love of crime and legal dramas, and of course The Godfather, has opened her eyes to the wonderful world of mystery/suspense. The action and thrill is what keeps her fingers gliding across the keyboard, as her brain explodes with ideas about the next unfortunate victim.

She is a strong, independent woman because her Cuban mother raised her right. Her main characters embrace that same attitude; strong Cuban American women that take no “caca” from anyone.

Marlene has a couple of books under her belt, with several in the works to release in 2014. She hopes to someday be a household name, at least in her own home if nowhere else. She just wants her sons to be proud of her, that’s reward enough… Yeah right, she wants the fame and fortune too.
